Today my (female) barista non-creepily asked if I worked out — thinking she was going to tell me she had taken a class w me… I said yes, in fact I’m heading there next! She then said “well you’ve got great quads!” 🥹 And right then my day was made!

Topped it off a a KICKASS workout w my BADASS friends @_stephanie_amber_ @nataliejackson11 & cutie @smee_jay on the 🎤! Grateful for this body that allows me to move & feel my strength & power. And grateful for my @thegrindgarage.cbus tribe!

As I wrap up this season, I’m honored & truly thrilled to announce my completion of my 200hr RYT program. I am especially thankful for:

You read that right — 200 hours of history, anatomy, curiosity, and so much more… and we did it! 🙌🏼 Alongside 12 incredible yogis — now dear friends — I’m officially certified as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200). I think I can speak for all of us to say we are grateful, forever changed… and just getting started. 💪🏼

Whether I’m in a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) session or an Indoor 🚴🏼‍♀️ class, my mind quiets, and my body takes charge. I let go of all the thoughts, worries, and tasks, dedicating that hour solely to myself. It’s a time to focus on building strength and leave with a sense of accomplishment and pride in the effort I’ve put in.

In the yoga studio, I shift ⚙️ and use that hour to connect with my mind— but instead of dwelling on daily concerns, I tune into my body, grounding myself through movement and breath on a deeper, more spiritual level. 🧘🏼‍♀️

Being introduced to movement in a fun & community-based way not only got me hooked, but literally changed my life. So it is an absolute pleasure for me to share movement w others! 🥹
I hope to inspire each of my students to inspire themselves - showing them they don’t need me to discover the badass that’s within — but I’m here if they think they do! 🙌🏼

But all this growth 🌱 & dedication 🧘🏻‍♀️ has me missin’ my social life & ready for summer to fully blossom!! 🌸 Until we get there, here are some moments that really filled up my cup 💛 this spring…

Grateful I found time to play —and find movement & share it with others 💪🏼, and visit family (both related & chosen) & meet my Great niece 💞 & watch a calf be born 🐄, and pretend to be in a band 🎸 & bond w the best coworkers!!

Our annual trip to visit our besties in the big 🍎 had a surprise element this year!! John knew we were going to a show but after declaring several times “there are few fun surprises in life (at our age)” I kept it under wraps… 6 months I kept a secret!! 🤐 How did that even happen?

The show was so so fun, time w our NYC friends was long overdue, and the city that never sleeps did not disappoint!

The 6 hour delay on our way home wasn’t exactly part of the plan, but the @delta Sky Club kept us fed & hydrated… and somehow John made his next flight out w a 10 min turn-around!! 😳

I’ve watched my dear friend @magalo717 build her business & harness an incredible community with approachable movement. 🖤 I’ve made new friends & built strength I forgot I was capable of. I’ve strengthened my relationship with movement & built confidence in my abilities & commitment to wellness. 🥹

After 5 years of teaching fitness, I took a break in ‘22 as life got busy & my situation was no longer fueling all of the above. But I’m ready to be back on the 🎤 & so very excited to be popping up to teach the 11am Grind SWITCH class THIS Saturday, November 23rd! 📅

These workouts can range from beginner to baddie, depending on what you’re looking for. The format is quick 45 second circuits at your own pace & your own modification level. So if you’ve ever wanted to check it out - or miss working out w me - please join us for this Grind Pop-Up! 💪🏽 Spaces are limited to only 18 students (w only 6 remaining) so snag a spot while you can! Class is 60 minutes & includes a warmup… & you know I’ll be leading you through a nice stretch at the end! As always, I saw some incredible shows at Natalie’s, including a special performance by my friends @campbellband at their album release show — w special guest @joeyaich4 🙌🏼 We tasted the flavors of Kiribati 🇰🇮 prepared by Chef @captaincameralens as part of his National Dish Project! Also, got to see some friends, took lots of fit checks, moved my body, and re-orged the closet!

Yesterday we rode in the 4th Annual @rideforreason_crfr ride celebrating the life of Chris Leyva, a dear friend of our neighbors who host this event. Chris lost his life far too soon due to a rare form of cancer called Sarcoma. @feelingthepast & @kinseyweissinger do an incredible job putting this event together & we are so grateful to be able to participate. Although John & I have both ridden in years past, this was our first time doing the Ride for Reason ride together… & it was such a peaceful & beautiful ride. The weather was just right & most of the ride we had the open road to ourselves. Thanks again to ALL of the people involved & for all the medical research going on to find ways to combat this awful disease.

Just over 2 years since we lost my Dad but we have done our very best to process the loss in a positive way — making quality time for one another 💛, living life to the fullest, making healthy habits a priority 🏊‍♀️, & most importantly (IMO) keeping his memory alive ❤️. We often talk about my dad, how he’d react to said changes/growth, how happy he’d be to know he’s going to be a Great-Grandpap 👶🏼, how proud he’d be of my mom’s 💪🏼 & courage navigating thru life solo... etc etc!

Can’t wait for the next meet-up @andymamm! I love you so much & appreciate our conversations & your unwavering support! ❤️ YOU!

A couple weeks late, but here is a re-cap of our Anni!

To celebrate 13 years, we decided to head out on a 13-stop adventure along Route 13… which just so happens to lead to @athensohio where we first met (21 years ago 🤯) & later started our relationship!

We ended up making more than 13 stops in total, but some highlights were: morning fuel at our favorite @germanvillagecoffeeshop, some🏌🏼‍♀️ swingin’ at @hammondgolf, 🍦 on the waterfront at Buckeye Lake, a 🍺 & some cool shops in Somerset including @shopmidwestern (check this place out for the COOLEST collection of bolo ties!), pool tables & snacks along Rte 13, a pop over to the Acid Mine Drainage site - what John completed his dissertation on during our first several months dating…

Then we made it to Athens where we of course hit up the 🏖️ at @stroudsrunboathouse, @casanuevaathens (where we had our second 1st date in 2007) for a snack & Bloodys, a classic 🚙 show on Court Street, the @import_house_athens for obvious reasons 😉, and finally a dip in the @ouinnathens pool!

We cleaned up & headed Uptown through campus where I made John take a 📸 at Stocker Hall (lol), had our first patio 🍺 at @smilingskullsaloon, stopped into some other memory lane spots like @thepubbar & @courtsidepizza, & naturally finished the night w Hot Nuts at @tonys.tavern.athens.ohio!

In true Krinks fashion, we had a blast!
Grateful for Leah who threw a house party in 2003, @lardoley for inviting me, & the universe for having John & me exchange IM names 💾 so we could forever be connected! 💍
